Carry Card Info

Article 8 of the European Convention on Human Rights is a frequently cited article in human rights cases, covering a wide range of issues, including surveillance, immigration, family reunification, child protection, environmental concerns, and issues related to sexual orientation and gender identity. The interpretation and application of Article 8 have evolved significantly through the case law of the European Court of Human Rights.

Our legal advice suggests recent developments from the Supreme Court and the Equality and Human Rights Commission may be contrary to Article 8.

Members of the trans community may wish to carry this card if they are challenged in spaces in which they feel they may belong.
