Help us to help you
We regularly hear complaints from within the trans community that they report transphobia to a service provider, employer, local/national authority or political party, but their complaint is ignored. In the future, we want to hold those whose duty it is to investigate transphobia to account if complaints are not investigated and responded to within a reasonable time.
While we will not investigate every individual complaint, we will ensure that when numerous complaints are made about the same person, we will follow it up as a “super complaint” to the organisation concerned.
Please fill out the form below to register your complaint in our systems.
What is transphobia?
We use the UN definition to define transphobia, which is:
Any form of prejudice or hostile attitude towards transgender people, including denying their gender identity or refusing to acknowledge it.
What happens to your data?
We collate it, ascertaining who gets reported and to whom. When we have enough information to make a representation, we will do precisely that. This could be (for example) a major complaint to a social media platform, a newspaper, a city council or a political party.
Please note: Our form is for internal informational purposes only. We encourage you to contact a qualified professional if you require legal support. Information is confidential and not stored on our website. All fields are compulsory, and you must quote the reference number of your complaint provided by the respondent.
