This is my very first post on the Translucent website, and yes, I am back with my very own section that no one here at Translucent will edit or change in any way! With the original Steph’s Place website soon to be made defunct, part of “the deal” was that I would continue to write a blog…and I could say what I like!
How tempting!
I could give you insight into how private Twitter DM’s, were made public by (heaven forbid) a fellow trans activist. Why? Because he didn’t like my opinions of being a rad fem! Or I could tell you about that biology article that got pulled from being published, but that’s a story for another day perhaps.
This blog is remarkably simple – well, it is my first one using the latest web platform technology, and I am old, and my God this website is sooooo complicated!
I want to say Happy Christmas to everyone and particularly to my gender-critical followers on Twitter, with whom I disagree on some important issues but who have never been disrespectful or nasty to me in any way. I will not name them, but to the writer with the substack who has protected me from hate, to the woman with three kids who lives in a tiny town in Scotland, to the woman who lives just north of Leeds and recently had knee surgery, to the lesbian who has worked to help refugees… thank you, and peace be with you.
