TransLucent appreciates the efforts made by Dr Hillary Cass and her team to improve the healthcare of gender-questioning children and young adults – we welcome her report. However, as Dr Cass has discovered, due to the vast amount of global criticism, this area of healthcare is complicated and contentious. We aim not to criticise Dr Cass’s work but to build a consensus in implementing her recommendations.We have presented our proposals to the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) and sought a response.
